the inspiring life of Nick Vijucic

ABOUT NICK: HIS STORY
Hi Friend,

My name is Nick Vujicic and I am thankful to have been born 30 years ago with no arms and no legs. I won’t pretend my life is easy, but through the love of my parents, loved ones, and faith in God, I have overcome my adversity and my life is now filled with joy and purpose. I reside now in California with my wife, Kanae, and we both love seeing people’s lives changed for the better or touched in some way. It is my hope that your life is positively impacted by my story.

I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, and it was a shock to my parents that I arrived without limbs. There is no medical reason for it. My parents did their very best to keep me in the mainstream school system and give me every opportunity to live to the fullest. I was blessed to have a brother and a sister as my best friends too.

We later moved to Brisbane, Australia, where I lived for 14 years before I made the move to California. At age eight, I could not see a bright future ahead and I became depressed. When I was ten years old, I decided to end my life by drowning myself in a bathtub. After a couple attempts, I realized that I did not want to leave my loved ones with the burden and guilt that would result from my suicide. I could not do that to them.

I wasn’t depressed my entire childhood, but I did have ups and downs. At age thirteen I hurt my foot, which I use for many things like typing, writing and swimming. That injury made me realize that I need to be more thankful for my abilities and less focused on my disabilities.

When I was fifteen years old, I sealed my faith in God and from there it has been an amazing journey.

A janitor at my high school inspired me to start speaking about my faith and overcoming adversity when I was seventeen. I spoke only a dozen times to very small groups over the next two years. Then I found myself in front of three hundred sophomore (grade 10) students and I was very nervous. My knees were shaking. Within the first three minutes of my talk, half the girls were crying, and most of the boys were struggling to hold their emotions together. One girl in particular was sobbing very hard. We all looked at her and she put her hand up. She said, “I am so sorry to interrupt, but can I come up and hug you?”

She came hugged me in front of everyone, and whispered in my ear, “Thank you, thank you, thank you. No one has ever told me that they loved me and that I am beautiful the way I am.”

Her gratitude inspired me to go across 44 countries and speak 2,000 times. I realized that we all need love and hope and that I was in a unique position to share that with people around the world.

While majoring in both accounting and financial planning at a university, I also worked on developing my abilities as a speaker. I worked with a speaking coach who helped to cultivate me as a presenter. He especially worked on my body language as my hands flew everywhere at first!

I spoke on motivational topics after creating the company, attitude is altitude. I also launched a non-profit ministry, life without limbs, to spread my messages of faith and hope around the world.

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from and whatever you are dealing with, I hope that you will be inspired by my story and my message. Please enjoy browsing around this website where I share with you my thoughts on faith, hope and love to encourage you and to help you overcome your own challenges.

Dream big my friend and never give up. We all make mistakes, but none of us are mistakes. Take one day at a time. Embrace the positive attitudes, perspectives, principles and truths I share, and you too will overcome.

Sincerely,

Nick

Its not enough to believe.

Pastor Anita

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:37).

Did you know that a man could believe that Jesus died and was raised from the dead for his justification, and still end up in hell? That’s because to merely believe that He died and was raised back to life isn’t enough to guarantee salvation. Even the devils believe and tremble (James 2:19), but that doesn’t mean they’re saved. There’s more required for salvation than mere believing. You must confess the Lordship of Jesus over your life to be saved!

The word “confess” is the Greek “Homologia” which means to declare openly by way of speaking out freely a deep conviction of facts. When you make confessions, you’re proclaiming that which God has said concerning you in His Word.

Romans 10:9-10 says, “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” In other words, when God’s Word comes to you, and you believe it, your heart is made right with God. Nevertheless, confessing the Lordship of Jesus over your life is actually what launches or catapults you into salvation. This is when you come to the realization that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life and that you belong to Him.

Confession, however, doesn’t end with receiving salvation from sin alone, for salvation is an all-inclusive word. It refers to your preservation, prosperity, peace, health, victory, success and all the wonderful benefits the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ has consummated for us. In fact, Christianity itself is referred to as the “great confession.” It’s a life where you get what you say.

You have to be a talking Christian. You have to confess God’s Word and see it come to pass in your life, health, job, family and finances. The Lord Jesus emphasised this In Mark 11:23 when He said “…he shall have whatsoever he saith.” So declare God’s Word concerning everything that pertains to you today, and the Word will definitely produce the desired results in your life!

Prayer

Dear Father, I thank you for the wonderful benefits of salvation that I enjoy today and forever as I continually declare your Word concerning me. I’m making progress in my family, health, job, and finances in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

you can do it. dont give up too soon.

The Story of Harland Sanders is a motivation for anyone who has given it all up, I’m talking of the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken! He was born in a shack, dropped out of school at 12, fired a number of times, his wife left him and his brother in law wrote,”she had no business marrying a no-good fellow like you who can’t hold a job” @ 40 he started cooking chicken meals in a service station and served customers in his apartment! @ 65 he had failed again only for his empire to move to the next level from a 105USD social security cheque. Today KFC is a force to be recorned with! Its never too late to dream! The fear of failure has trapped a lot of potentials in the belly of the coward! Those who are afraid of failure are unwilling to learn the true path to Greatness, this is because there is no true success without a few lessons from failure! The earlier you launch out the earlier you Succeed…remember that waiting for a perfect time is a delusion of the invalid!

He wasn’t granted admission to Zurich Polytechnic school. This slow and anti- social guy rose to be the Father of Modern Physics and won a Nobel Prize. Soichiro Honda, the founder of Honda Motor company failed a job interview at Toyota Motor Company. He went to start making scooters in his backyard only for him to be the world’s largest maker of motor cycle, today we drive Honda cars. He had only elementary education and was a mechanic apprentice. Nick Vujicic was born without legs, hands and limbs.(Tetra-amelia syndrome) He attempted suicide at 10, he was bullied, depressed and rejected. He rose above all that and went to University, graduated at 21 with double honors. THE FERN AND THE BAMBOO STORY

One day I decided to quit…I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality…. I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
“God”, I said. “Can you give me one good reason not to quit?”His answer surprised me.
“Look around”, He said. “Do you see the fern and the bamboo?””Yes”, I replied.
“When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
“In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. The same in year four.
“Then in the fifth year, a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern, it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just six months later, the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.
“Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots? I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you.
“Don’t compare yourself to others.” He said. “The bamboo had a different purpose compared to the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful.
“Your time will come”, God said to me. “You will rise high”
“How high should I rise?” I asked.
“How high will the bamboo rise?” He asked in return.
“As high as it can?” I questioned
“Yes.” He said, “Give me glory by rising as high as you can.”
I left the forest, realizing that God will never give up on me. And He will never give up on you.
Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you happiness; Bad day gives u experiences; both are essential in life.
